Superman's death activated The Eradicator, and entity from Krypton, who assumed Superman's identity and placed the body of the fallen hero in a suit designed to reignite the spark of life in the Last Son of Krypton.

As part of a peace pact, Scott Free was raised in an orphanage on the cruel world of Apokolips. Young Scott finally escaped that destiny and made his way to Earth where he was befriended by escape artist Thaddeus Brown, known as Mister Miracle. Under Brown's tutelage Scott assumed the identity of Mister Miracle and elevated to even greater glory as an entertainment super-escape artist!

Special Abilities: Wing-maneuvered flight by anti-gravity nth metal; wields a variety of ancient weapons, particularly shield, dagger, and mace; expert hand-to-hand combatant.

During ancient Egypt's 15th dynasty, Prince Khufu and his beloved Princess Chay-ara discovered a downed spacecraft from the planet Thanagar. Exposure to the ship's anti-gravity nth metal allowed Khufu and Chay-ara to be reincarnated countless times throughout the ages to follow. In modern times, Khufu became the hero Hawkman, Chay-ara reincarnated as his beloved Hawkgirl.

Drawn to a secret cavern beneath the subway, orphan newsboy Billy Batson met the immortal wizard "Shazam!", who granted Billy superpowers to do battle with evil. By uttering Shazam's name aloud, Billy was thus transformed into not only an adult, but the world's mightiest mortal; empowered with the wisdom of Soloman, the strengt of Hercules, the stamina of Atlas, the power of Zeus, the courage of Achilles, and the speed of Mercury.

Real Name: Drury Walker
Special Abilities: Suit allow flight, cocqon gun, and razor sonar waves.

Drury Walker was an unsuccessful career criminal who took on an even more unsuccessful career as a costumed villain. What he became was a joke, both to his fellow criminals and crime fighters alike. Disgusted with being laughed at, Killer Moth made a deal with the demon Neron for greater power in exchange for his soul... powers that changed him into the fierce, helf-man/half-insect, all-mad Charaxes!
