Deadpool was created by William Stryker to be the ultimate mutant. He is a monster with a single purpose - to serve Stryker's will. He is an unstoppable weapon, with no weakness, and his first target is WOLVERINE.

SABERTOOTH was raised alongside WOLVERINE, and the two spent most of their lives fighting side-by-side. When WOLVERINE walked away from Stryker's crew, SABERTOOTH felt betrayed by his old friend, Now, he is Logan's most bitter enemy.

On the run after escaping from the Weapon 11 facility at Alkali Lake, WOLVERINE knows that Stryker and his men will never stop hunting him. He's seen what evil Stryker and his men will never stop hunting him. He's seen what evil Stryker is capable of, so rather than run, Wolverine turns to fight, and free the mutants imprisoned by Weapon 11.

After he walked away from William Stryker's command, Logan set his sights on a simple life, hoping never again to raise a hand in anger. Unfortunately, Stryker's ambition will force Logan to turn in his lumberjack's axe, and return to the life he was born to lead.
