There was a time when Norman Osborn was just a man, though he has always had a surplus of ambition. Even then, however, there was a monster lurking deep within. The Goblin Serum brought that monster roaring to the surface, and caused his ambition to rage unchecked. He became obsessed, first with the acquisition of power, then with the destruction of SPIDER-MAN. Every action he has taken since, every evil act he has committed, has been with those two goals in mind.

Clint Barton's reflexes and fighting skills were honed to perfection by an early life spend pulling seemingly impossible physical feats under the lights of the big top. He eventually grew bored with circus life, though, and went in search of bigger, better thrills. Eventually he found them by joining the AVENGERS. Since then, he's battled ninjas, aliens, and super androids, as well as traveled from one end of the universe to the other, first as the marksman HAWKEYE, and now as the swordsman supreme RONIN.

Daniel Rand is the current bearer of the immortal power of the IRON FIST. He is a living weapon, empowered with the mystical energy of the otherworldly city K'un-Lun. Trained by the immortal fighter Lei Kung the Thunderer, he was already an exceptional fighter when he faced and defeated the dragon Shou Lou, and took his power. With that power, he is capable of healing injuries, adapting to almost any environment, and striking his opponents with superhuman force.
